The next step is to learn how to prepare and enjoy the atmosphere you want to experience your lovemaking in. For most of you, you are going to be pleasing your partner as well, so keep his/her likes and desires in mind while you are doing this, though once you are together inside your sacred space, he/she isn't going to notice much but your body and how delightful he/she feels being with you. You are setting the stage for the delights, enjoyment, and LOVE to come.
By this time, you should have chosen the music you want to have playing. If not, I will provide you with a list that you may want to look for and choose from. You may wish to join in with the music for a brief time, by clapping, singing, chanting, or drumming.
You will want your sacred space to smell nice. Aromatherapy experts find that certain odors are soothing to the nerves and soul. It assists with arousing emotions, especially erotic ones, helps you to focus on what you are there for and gives you energy. Choose aromas you really like. They need not always be the same ones. You may put a drop ofin the candles before you light them, or put some scented oils on your cold light bulbs before you turn the lights on. (Don't attmempt to put oil on hot bulbs or they will break) You may also take a water sprayer and put a few drops of scent in the water and spray the fabrics in the room.
The following ritual is going to assist you in making your sacred space feel really special to you. You may do this alone or with your partner. Even if you do it by yourself, you will bring yourself pleasure in the process.
This is going to be a ceremony you do consciously as a sacred rite. Begin by standing on the perimiter of your sacred space, facing the center. As the Shamans do, face towards your right hand and walk around the space counterclockwise three times. This movement decreases negative forces which might be present in the space from the environment. While walking around your sacred space, sing or chant, "Allow all negative emotions such as worry, fear, anger, greed, and impatience to leave this space." You may use other words of your choosing if they are more appropriate. You may want to use a drum or tambourine to emphasize your statement each time you make it.
When you have completed the circling counterclockwise, turn back to the center, and breathe deeply several times. Turn towards your left hand and make three circles clockwise. Circling clockwise will bring in the positive energies into the space and blessing it. While walking in the clockwise direction, sing or chant, "May the LOVE from the Universe in my heart now fill this room and protect us."
When this ritual is complete, again stand on the permiter and breathe deeply several times. If you have your partner with you, take him/her by the hand and step into the sacred space together. For these special moments, make a commitment yourselves to enjoying your experience in High Spiritual Sex and the LOVE it will bring to you and your partner.
Inside of your sacred space will be the place you have chosen for your High Spiritual Sex ceremonies. Whether it is the bed, or just a mattress or quilt on the floor, cover this place with a clean beautiful sheet and surround it with plants, flowers, and candles.
You will need no less than 4 special candles, one for each of the four directions - north, south, east, and west. Light the candle to the north and with a little bow of your head, state, "I call forth the positive energies of the North, the great winds of change and transformations. May they bring us intelligence and discrimination."
Light the candle to the south and with a little bow of your head, state, "I call forth the energies of the South, the healing waters of the deep. May they cleanse our hearts and let our emotions flow with innocense and trust."
Light the candle to the west and with a little bow of your head, state, "I call forth the energies of the West, the transforming powers of the earth that makes things grow. May they bring us renewal, health, and creative inspiration."
Light the candle to the east and with a little bow of your head, state, " call forth the energies of the East, the cleansing fires of illumination. May they help our spirit to shine forth in wisdom and insight."
These statements acknowledge the connection between you and the Universal forces, water, earth, air, and fire - of which your body is a reflection. It brings to your lovemaking the qualities you wish to be enhanced.
While one of you sits in the center of the space, have the other take whatever fragrance you have chosen for that moment and spray some into the air, saying, "I purify this space, I purify my heart." Allow some of the fragrance to fall upon the partner. Have the other partner repeat the ritual. If you have a crystal bowl or glass, using a wooden stick make a special sound, then state "I dedicate this space to love." Or you might use little bells instead to make a special sound. These sounds will help to allow negative thoughts of the day to be carried away on the sound and help you to be centered and focused on the moment of love.
